In Loving Memory Of Angela Nelson

Hi my name is Debra. I’m 19 from South London and on the 25th November my world changed.
Me, my sister, my mum and my Nan were all really close. Unfortunately we lost my Nan to a short battle of motor neurone disease in April this year. Which saw her slowly lose her ability to speak and communicate, this was really hard on all of us. It brought the three of us (me, my mum and sister) closer together until the night of the 25th of November. We all got ready for bed and said goodnight to each other. 15 mins later I heard a noise coming from my mothers room. When I went to check on my mum she was lying on her side, struggling to breath and didn’t seem conscious. I called 999, but my mum had now stopped breathing. My sister started performing CPR with the help of the first responder over the phone. She managed to carry on CPR until the paramedic came 10 mins later. The Paramedics tried their hardest but she sadly passed away shortly after at home. Later we found out it had been from a pulmonary thromboembolism (Blood clot in her lungs). Our mum had no symptoms and felt completely fine until she wasn’t.
My mum was only 61 and had so much more life and love to give. She raised my sister and I to believe in ourselves and to know that nothing was unachievable for us. We have both achieved so much all thanks to the support that our mum gave us. She passed away exactly one month before Christmas, which is also my sister’s 23rd birthday and two and half weeks after my 19th birthday. My sister and I are going to have to experience a lot of firsts without her. But I’m forever grateful that she got to see me get accepted into university and see my sister graduate and get her first job as a midwife.
We would really love to give our mum the proper burial she deserves and lay her to rest. Our goal of £5000 alongside the money we have already saved would help us give our mum the best possible send off.
Please consider helping us reach our target, any donation no matter the amount will be really appreciated.
