Dick Petruzzi Tribute Bench at Ancil Hoffman Park

Hi, it’s Karen, current leader of the Ancil Hoffman Saturday morning Trail Mix hikes. You’re getting this communication because you’re one of our great group of participants, and I’m asking for your help.

Our previous leader, Dick Petruzzi, kept this regular hike going for many years, through his total dedication and willingness to lead in any weather. Dick helped establish this hike as the regular event we can all count on whenever we feel like attending. We’d like to acknowledge his commitment by establishing a Tribute Bench in his honor at the Nature Center.

The American River Parkway Foundation manages the Tribute bench program for the county park department. A bench is available for a $5000 to the American River Parkway Foundation. This covers the cost of the bench and generates income for ARP to continue programs along the parkway and is 100% tax deductible.

Since Go Fund Me changes a 15% fee on all donations, our goal is $5750.

In addition to the bench, we plan to install a name plate with Trail Mix and Dick's name. That cost has yet to be determined.

When we’ve reached our goal, the American River Parkway Foundation will help us establish the Tribute Bench. When it’s in, I will organize a dedication ceremony and invite you all to attend.
