Anna's Story

Let me tell you a story…it’s a long one and I need to give you some background information first.
I need everyone’s help.
In 2013 I lost my daughter Daisy at 39 weeks into my pregnancy. Three weeks later when I went to sit with my daughter at the cemetery I was shocked to see that another little grave was being dug. At that very moment I decided that I needed to know this family. I had to let them know that they were not alone. Fast forward a month and Anna and I met for the first time. They had lost their daughter Bridie to stillbirth also. I remember those early days like they were yesterday.
Over the past almost six years Anna and I have been inseparable. Her my rock and I hers. We fell pregnant late 2013 at the same time and Patrick and Luella blessed our families three weeks apart in 2014.
In 2014 I was diagnosed with Cancer. I had five surgeries over a few years which ended with radiation treatment in 2016/17. Anna was with me the entire time. She sat with me…cried with me ….laughed with me… and attempted craft with me to help pass the hours. I honestly believe that without her I would not have survived the last six years.
6/02/2019 – Anna 36, was diagnosed with a rare form of Breast Cancer. This woman….the wife of Steven, the Mother of Harrison, Bridie, Patrick and Darcy (5 1/2 months) is now facing what none of us want to face.
As sadly many of us know, cancer doesn’t discriminate. Cancer is life changing. Cancer takes a toll on a family financially. Everything has to get put on hold while you face the long road ahead.
Next week Anna and Steven are heading to Melbourne where she will undertake further testing and scans that will help her Doctor plan the course of treatment. From there, depending on what happens and where surgery takes place there will be a lot of expenses.
Anna is a fighter. Anna is Amazing. Anna will beat this but I want to help her. I want all of us to help this family which has been to hell and back already. I want to lighten the load. Ease the stress and take away some of the worry so they can concentrate on getting Anna well again.
Those who know Anna would know very well that she never asks for help.
Anything is appreciated.
