Most of you who know me know that I do this crazy sport where I dance and do gymnastics on top of a cantering horse (EQUESTRIAN VAULTING!). What you should also know is that this year I am setting my sights on competing with my partner in crime, Palatine, at the World Equestrian Games (WEG) in Normandy, France. I competed at the Games in 2006 and earned 18th place, and also in 2010 where I brought home 4th place. This year could be my best one yet, but I have a long road ahead of me.
The first step is qualifying at the US Selection Trials. The Trials will be a series of competitions starting in March and wrapping up in June. We will be traveling roughly 5,000 miles to compete at 6 Trials. The cost of traveling and transporting horses is extreme, and its just the beginning! If I kick butt and take names at the Trials, I'll be heading off to Europe with Palatine to compete and prepare for the Games. In the past, I've vaulted on borrowed horses when competing abroad. Competing with my own horse gives me the best chance at reaching my full potential on the international stage. Palatine is like my dance partner and the bond that we have forged is invaluable. I feel like this is my year and I want my horse with me!

After setting my goals for 2014 - I've realized that I definitely need help. Or a winning lottery ticket. I've set my fundraising goal at $20,000 which would cover the expenses of training and traveling through the Selection Trial competitions and make a dent in the expense of transporting Palatine to Europe for the Games.
Any donation to my cause or help spreading the word is GREATLY appreciated! Vault ON!
