My name is Lynda and I run Redditch Blues and I am fundraising for Birmingham City FC Foundation.

Last year, the Birmingham City Foundation partnered with the Birmingham Children's Trust to deliver the biggest gift-giving campaign the organisation had ever seen in the city. They managed to get 11,500 gifts distributed to underprivileged young people, for many, it was their only gift.

Twelve months on, the situation for many is no different, so we are helping them to do the same again. We want to order thousands of soft toys for the infants, size 3 footballs for the juniors, and blankets and wash bags for the older children.

I am taking part in a sponsored sleepout to make sure the underprivileged children of Birmingham receive something special for Christmas. Temperatures will be close to freezing, and the floor of the Gil Merrick stand will be my mattress. Alongside hundreds of other Bluenoses, if we all can raise £200 each, we can change the lives of young people in our city.
