The early morning of March 26, 2019, a devastating fire ripped through my apartment building leaving myself and three families displaced causing us to lose everything.
I was awoken by the police banging on my door telling me to “get out there’s a fire”. I quickly grabbed a pair of pants and a jacket just in time to make it out. None of the smoke dectors went off. I’m so thankful to be alive through the grace of God and the Police (Suffolk County). I lost everything! I’m asking for help so I can be able to rebuild. The apartment complex has given me another apartment that I can move into. So many items that will never be replaceable but having a bed and some clean clothes will mean a lot. I truly appreciate everything.
