PLEASE Help Jeff Get Back On His Feet

We want to share what Jeff Hornok, our 56 year old brother, brother-in-law and uncle, is going through and ask for your help.

If you know Jeff Hornok, you know that he is hard working, big hearted, selfless, and has tons of personality. From donating his time as a DJ to St Joseph auctions to being the primary caregiver to a cancer stricken parent and everything in between, Jeff is always there for others. He truly is the kind of guy that would give you the shirt off his back (most likely a Hawaiian shirt - :- )  ).

Jeff was admitted to the hospital on Memorial Day 2020 for a cut on his foot that became seriously infected. He has neuropathy and did not feel the pain nor realize the severity of the cut. The doctors treated him for Sepsis and initially amputated two of his toes on his left foot. Several days later, they
amputated a third of his foot because the infection was so bad. The doctors are still concerned that the tissue on his foot will not heal, and if not, they plan to amputate the rest of his foot to his ankle, e.g. Syme’s.

Jeff’s medical and financial problems really started 3 years ago when he had major back surgery that did not go very well. He was also diagnosed with Diabetes. The back surgery left him with major nerve damage, severe pain and he cannot stand or walk very far without falling. The problem left him with limited work opportunities and he was denied disability. He lost his home, belongings and his car was repossessed. In a state of panic and living in a car donated to him by his family, he started to drive a 26 foot box truck nationwide delivering crucially needed necessities during the Covid 19 pandemic, driving day and night, until he was admitted to the hospital with a serious life threatening infection.


Jeff needs assistance with his medical bills, easy access affordable housing and the cost of a prosthetic foot so he will be able to walk again when he is released from the hospital.

No donation is too small. We know this is a very trying time for so many out of work with the pandemic; however, if you can help in any way our family would really appreciate it!
