Help Us Survive While Caring For My Grandmother

Hi, if you’ve been following me for a while you know me and my family have had a rough past 6 months. I got a seasonal job that i was sexually assaulted at by a supervisor and was subsequently laid off and since November my grandmother has been in and out of the hospital with health issues related to her heart and has been in me and my mother’s care since. she has been slated for a surgery that will give her a pump in her heart but it has been postponed for about 3 months bc she needs to get her weight and strength up in order to be a viable surgery candidate and live through it. i have been out of consistent work since January & my mother has taken off work to help me care for my grandma bc she needs round the clock care that her insurance only provides a few hours of through in-home care. while mother’s job has promised to keep her position for when she comes back, they do not find her eligible for pay while on leave. me, myself, am looking for a second consistent job to help keep things afloat but right now i only have a small part time job at a laundromat cleaning and i only get 6 hours a week on a bi-weekly pay period and it is not sustainable income for my family of 4. Please consider helping us with rent, food, and other expenses such as traveling to appointments in & out of the city and medication for my grandmother. it’s been a difficult & trying time and we would all really appreciate the help in keeping my grandmother comfortable and healthy. she’s only 65 and i believe she has a lot of years left in her.
