#71 - Demolition Derby for Breast Cancer - 2019
I would like to invite you to participate in a very thrilling and important cause — The Damsels Of Destruction, an all-female Demolition Derby, that is smashing + crashing to raise money and awareness for breast cancer at the 2019 OC Fair! A Demolition Derby? That sounds a little crazy (and dangerous)! Wait, YOU'RE DOING IT AGAIN?! Why would you do that?!
Because it's for an amazing cause!!! As of today, the Damsels have raised over $65,000 for Susan G. Komen Orange County, and after seeing so many family/friends and their loved ones battle with this awful disease, I am beyond happy to once again put on my big-girl (+ fire-retardant) pants, don a helmet and become DRIVER #71 in this 2019 Damsels of Destruction with an extremely rad group of women.

(out of 17 drivers — not too shabby for my first time out there!)
No, I didn't win, but I had an amazing time, raised a lot of money, and lasted MUCH longer than I ever expected! Took lots of hits and landed a few good ones as well. This year I will do even better + be MUCH more aggressive!! THAT'S RIGHT -- I'm doing it again!! To do so, I need your help!

All derby prize money and driver entry fees are donated to Susan G. Komen® Orange County, but in order for this to happen, drivers must raise funds via sponsorships to obtain their car and cover associated event costs. We then paint, drive, and bash the cars to the crowd’s delight, ensuring that this annual event continues its mission of raising funds and awareness. As of today, the Damsels have raised over $65,000. All proceeds will go to the #71HellraiserHauxy Derby car + event fund. All money raised thereafter will be donated directly to Susan G. Komen® Orange County!
