Mission Trip to South Africa!

Hey friends!
I have been given the amazing opportunity to travel to South Africa with four close friends and volunteer for a ministry based in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. The ministry is called Tabitha Ministries and they work in a variety of ways with the community in the city of Pietermaritzburg. The organization runs a fully functioning orphanage, which is where most of my time will be, but also helps the community by giving out food/medicine and even helping in light construction work. As I said before, most of my time will be spent playing games with the children, leading a bible study for the children, and just loving on these kids! An important note about this area of South Africa is that over half of the population has either HIV or AIDS and many of the children in the orphanage have been affected either by having their parents lost to AIDS or being HIV+ themselves. This is such an opportunity to spread the love of Christ to these children and the community there. I ask that you join me in this mission.
I have to raise $3200 in order to pay for my plane ticket, food, board, and general living expenses during my 30-day stay in Pietermaritzburg. I ask that you prayerfully consider joining my support team. This can be helping me raise the monetary goal of $3200 or praying for our time there that the Lord would work in amazing ways. The exact dates of my stay are May 17th to June 15th. If you have any questions or want to learn more about Tabitha Ministries please contact me! Oh and there will be a joint blog up and running soon called "Vuma", which means "accept" in the native Zulu language. This blog will be the primary way we will be updating you on our journey in South Africa! We will keep you posted on when it will be up and running!
