Jon Schock Cancer Treatment Fund

My brother Jon is a loving father and husband.  He has been battling cancer for over a year now.  In February, 2018 Jon was diagnosed with with Large B Cell Non Hodgkins Lymphoma when a lump was found in his neck.  He went through his chemo program and was given a clean bill of health in October.  In December, he was living with chronic pain in his right arm and hand, working with doctors to figure out what was causing this.  In February, he had an incident that sent him to the emergency room.  This is when we were told that Jon had 4 tumors, one of which is in his brain.  This was devastating to Jon and our family.  What makes it even more difficult is that his tumor is causing short term memory loss.  As for the other 3 masses, those have cost him the use of his right hand. 

The road ahead is going to be long and hard.  He had to change insurance companies at the start of the year which has an amazingly high deductible.  Now with his memory and hand issues, Jon is unable to work.  He is trying to qualify for disability but that process is also going to take time.  

On the bright side, we are fortunate to have an amazing cancer research center near us and he is getting the best treatment we can ask for.  His brain tumor is inoperable and we are hoping the treatment plan will put him into remission and that he'll recover his memory and use of his hand.  We're even more hopeful that he gets into a research program that would allow his body to fight off any future lymphoma leaving him cancer free.

I've set up this page to help support my brother and his family during this difficult time.  All the money raised will go towards his growing medical expenses.
