703 million people in the world live without clean water. That’s nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide, or twice the population of the United States. Charity: Water is a nonprofit organization bringing clean and safe water to people around the world. I was first introduced to the water crisis when I read Charity: Water founder Scott Harrison's book "Thirst." Clean water is a privilege that everyone should have, but one that not everyone does. Through the Boston College chapter of Charity: Water, I am able to directly contribute to expanding access to clean water and give more women the opportunity to explore education.
For my 21st birthday, I am asking friends, family, or anyone who wants to help make a difference to donate to my GoFundMe. $2100 towards access to clean water for my 21 years!
