7 Peaks Challenge - Borneo Expedition 2024
Donation protected
Our names are Flora, Florence and Freya and we are students at Thomas Adams School in Wem, Shropshire. We are participating in an expedition to Borneo in 2024 through Camps Internationals Expeditions with impact (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKdNiV4yAh0.
This four-week expedition will include community development work, environmental projects, and wildlife conservation.
The core objectives of this expedition are to undertake projects in order to
- Raise the education standards within a rural district of Borneo;
- Raise the living standards of developing countries, within rural communities of Borneo;
- Assist with ongoing wildlife conservation programmes to preserve biodiversity and protect.
We are looking forward to getting involved in a project that will allow us to take positive action, help others who have less than us and help conserve such an important, endangered environment.
To raise funds to pay for the expedition we have planned a range of fundraisers including our very first, the Seven Hills in Seven Days (or 7 Peaks) challenge. The seven hills make up the seven houses at Thomas Adams School. It felt like a great way to practise for our time in Borneo, tie it back to our school and have something local to Shropshire, where we all live. It will help us build independence, resilience and stamina ahead of our time in Borneo.
We hope to gain as much coverage as possible through social media and any sponsors' generosity will be highlighted and promoted on the channels available to us.
So, please join us on our journey.
We would be extremely grateful for any contributions you could make towards our fundraising
Thank you in anticipation,
