On 10/23/2018 My brother Chris and his wife Nancy noticed that their daughter, Alice, could
no longer crawl and wailed in pain anytime you touched her legs. They took her to the hospital and were told it might be an infection in her hip. Alice was rushed to Helen DeVos children’s hospital in Grand Rapids. Once there, they ran tests. Her white blood cell count came back very low and tested positive to be cancerous. Further testing revealed that she has what is called AML which is Acute Myeloid Leukemia. It is pretty rare and sometimes pretty hard to treat. But we all fight on for her. Chris is the sole provider for the household which allows Nancy to stay with their children at home. But now, both need to be with their baby in the hospital through this very scary time. Which of course leaves mounting expenses and no income. I’m trying to help this young family have one less worry and to be able to focus on getting Alice better. Money will go towards rent, utilities, car payment, gas, hospital bills, etcetera. Please find it in your hearts to help. Every penny will be appreciated.
