Help Sonja Care for Her Parents with a Handicap Van

My wife, Sonja Motley, has dedicated her life to caring for her parents full-time. Her mother is bedridden with Multiple Sclerosis, and her father is fighting cancer. Four days a week, Sonja drives her dad to treatments, and seven days a week she cares for her mom since her insurance no longer covers a nurse.

Getting her mother to doctor appointments has become nearly impossible. Her dad’s health prevents him from helping lift her, and Sonja’s car isn’t equipped for safe transport. We’ve been quoted $450–$900 per trip for medical transport. Something we simply can’t afford on a limited income.

We’re asking for help to purchase a reliable handicap accessible van so Sonja can safely get her mothe and father to their appointments. We’re not asking for a brand-new vehicle. Just one that will restore mobility, dignity, and peace of mind for this loving family.
