Our long running Charity Round has come around again and we are ecstatic to be proudly supporting Beyond Blue.

There are currently 3 million Australians suffering from a mental health condition and ‘Mental health’ is often used as a substitute for mental health conditions – such as depression, anxiety conditions, schizophrenia, and others. Mental health is “a state of well-being in which every individual realises his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community.”

As a club, we have partaken in a conscious effort to raise awareness within our community and its broader outreach to tackle these issues and the stigma that comes with them. We want to break down the 'Man up and get over it' culture that can be, sometimes, synonymous with football clubs and make not only our club but every club an open and inclusive environment where everyone feels safe to talk and let their mates know they might be struggling.
