Rescue Rosie, Surgery Fundraiser
Donation protected
Rosie went missing after falling from our 4th floor balcony August 7th. 14 hours had passed and we had searched everywhere, hopping fences and knocking on neighbors doors looking for her. We decided to share with our community and knew putting up flyers around Spoke Bicycle Cafe would be a good idea. I heard some noises over by the sewer and I was scared it was something much bugger but it was just sweet Rosie trying to get out. We were elated, It was a miracle she was found! When we got home we noticed Rosie wasn’t acting like herself and had a severe limp, walking crooked and slowly with a hunched over back. We immediately took her to an emergency room to get x-Ray’s which had cost $1,500.
After taking Rosie to the emergency room we were told that she broke her pelvis and risks long term complications like the inability to jump or run. The ilium fracture surgery costs more than my car and because of the pandemic it has been a challenging year financially (and emotionally). Rosie may heal on her own with 8 weeks of cage rest but there are serious risks. She may have issues with going to the bathroom, running, jumping and playing which are her favorite things.
Please find it in your heart to help and donate for Rosies surgery. She is so special and has touched so many with her kind and playful personality.
This surgery costs $4-6k so anything you can contribute would be extremely helpful and appreciated! Thank you to everyone who has shared their concern and love for all of us during this time.
