Leah Rondon Memorial Scholarship

On October 18, Megan McGrath and Chris Borges will be running the Baystate Half Marathon in honor of our neice and cousin, Leah Marie Rondon. Colleen and Henry Rondon are establishing a scholarship in their daughter’s memory at Kolbe Cathedral High School where Henry was a teacher for many years before becoming the principal last year. Colleen and Henry have dedicated their lives to teaching, and have had a profound impact on so many young people in the classroom, in their communities, and in their home. Leah’s love of learning - in school, on the ball fields, and everywhere she traveled – came from the love and support of the teachers that surrounded her from the moment she was born. A permanent scholarship fund in her name that will annually support a female student athlete pursuing a college degree is a beautiful and meaningful legacy for the Rondon family.
