**Toussant’s Emergency Veterinary Care Fund** Help Toussant Come Home IA
Any amount or shares is appreciated!
Toussant is an incredible 3-year-old kitty who was taken to the emergency room on Saturday after suddenly becoming very ill. She has been hospitalized since then and is receiving round-the-clock intensive care from specialists, which is quite costly.
Her doctors were strongly suspicious she may have FIP (feline infectious peritonitis). FIP was essentially a death sentence for cats until recently. Thankfully, a promising medication has been discovered that has allowed many cats to fully recover. Toussant is already receiving this medication and, while she has shown some improvement, she is still critically ill.
Although initial tests for FIP came back negative, there is still a possibility that she could have it. Her doctors mentioned that if she does have FIP, her case is not far from the typical presentation. They are conducting more advanced tests to try to determine what is causing her condition.
She had not eaten for five days so she is getting a feeding tube to help support her nutritional needs and her ability to fight whatever this is.
Doctors who aren’t even involved in her care have taken interest in her case of how unusual it is that she has survived so far despite how critical her case is.
She is absolutely a fighter.
Should she stabilize and be able to leave the hospital God willing, her treatment will require ongoing care with the possibility of needing medication for two to three months, which will add to the financial burden.
In light of these circumstances, I kindly ask for your support, whether through a donation or by sharing Toussant's story with others who might be willing to help. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean a great deal to Toussant, her family, and her entire medical team during this difficult time.
Thank you for your kindness and consideration.
