Hello Family and Friends!

Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page. I am raising funds for a very special educational opportunity. I was recently nominated by my High School to attend an Intensive Law & Trial program this summer in California at Stanford Law School. I am praying that I can get your support to assist me with the cost of tuition and travel fees. This is a very special opportunity and by attending I will get to experience so much of college life, by living nine days in the dormitory on campus with other students like me. I will witness and take part in Mock Trials, and have legal discussions with real attorneys and judges who will teach us the many stimulating subjects areas of law. I was so excited when I received this wonderful opportunity however; I also need the support from my love ones to help my dream come true. Here is a few things about me.

Currently, I am a 10th grade honor student with a (GPA) ranging between a 3.71 through a 4.0. Since high school began, I have received several academic awards including; the Principle's Honor Roll of Excellence and the Gold Honor Roll of Performance. In September of this school year, I was inducted into the "Diamonds Scholars Club." The Diamonds Club is a leadership program that offers mentor-ship and so many other opportunities to young black and Hispanic females attending high school, residing in Howard County Maryland. Also, for the last several years I have earned awards from Howard County Council of Elders of the Black Community of Howard County, and also awards from the state of Maryland for being an Athletic Scholar. I am a member of the Mock Trials committee and Student Body Counsel. I have also participated on the Volleyball team, Track (In/Outdoor) team and Cheerleading (Sports/Competition) team as well.

I am also a dedicated volunteer. During weekends, after-school seasonal and holidays I love serving my community by offering my time and services; helping to serve meals, pack lunches for the homeless, host at Art Events, clean-up parks and pack gifts of toys for the children over the Christmas holiday. I also have a favorite place to go volunteer my time which is at the Lorien Harmony Hall Assisted Living Facility, located in Columbia, MD. There I assist the Activity Coordinator with daily activities for the senior's residents. I am able to help them decide on their meals, which games they want to play and I love to read to them. I also offer other unique specialties they really enjoy; like painting their nails, singing and combing hair. (Smiles)
