Help Save King

Hi, my name is Angela. Some of you may know my dog King whom you might have seen on my instagram or facebook many many times whether it be through my stories, posts, or training videos. Some of you may have even met or played with him. He is a sweet 5 year old boy who brought a smile to people's faces wherever he went.

On April 7th we took King to the vet for a check-up due to a rash that developed in his belly, vomiting and diarrhea. We thought that maybe it could be a sign of an allergy and his vet was hopeful that it was also something as simple as that. However, as we went on with his appointment his vet found swollen lymph nodes on his neck as well as his chest and on the back of his legs. We were also informed that he has lost about 7 pounds and so his vet decided to take his blood work as well as a sample from his lymph nodes in order to find out exactly what we were dealing with so that we could treat it accordingly.

Unfortunately, as of April 12th King has been diagnosed with multi-centric lymphoma, which is a common type of cancer for dogs. The stage in which he is in is currently unknown but his vet suspects that his is in stage 3; more tests would have to be done in order to find out if the cancer had spread to other parts of his body. Thus, his vet had advised us that his best option would be to visit an oncologist to get more tests done and to eventually go through chemotherapy treatment.

With luck he will go into remission, however these procedures and tests are not inexpensive. The x-rays, blood work and biopsy alone are a significant expense. We are hoping that with your generous support we might be able to give King as much time as we can.

King’s birthday is coming up soon on the 21st of April, and we hope that with your support and the best medical treatment possible we may be able to celebrate another birthday with him. We aren’t giving up, and so long as King chooses to fight we will be with him every step of the way.
