On 1/7/2025, there was a significant loss felt by my family. My grandson's life partner and mother of their two children, DaJanica Sheila Resch, died suddenly. I waited eagerly around the phone that day to hear any news on the status of my grandson's girlfriend. I was shocked when I learned that she had passed away without giving us any warnings or red flags. It was incredibly unexpected but God decided to call another one of his angels home at 12:01 am on January 7th, 2025. DJ fought so hard for her life. The ICU staff kept calling her "a fighter" all while they were caring for her critical condition. DJ was also 15 weeks pregnant at the time she passed away. We are grieving and hurting in so many ways with this loss.

We are asking for help from our community to pay for the expenses left behind by this tragic, unexpected situation. DJ brought so much beauty into this world and you could see it in every aspect of her life, from her open-minded, non-judgmental nature to the care she put into raising her kids. We believe that since DJ spread so much love in her life, she deserves the same love given to her as we lay her to rest.
