Black Female Producers - help fund our inspirational film
FOR YOU, ME, AND US follows Nia (Quameiha Raymond-Ducheine), an ambitious young
woman who is forced to choose between her family and her future. When Nia receives
an educational opportunity, the pressures at home increase as she tries to support both
her ailing grandmother and her single father. We witness Nia’s emotional journey and
the decision she is ultimately forced to make.
Our goal is to create a film that is impactful and thought provoking. We want to
empower and encourage young girls who look like us through meaningful and relatable
storytelling. We are inspired by art that recognizes the complexity of young black
women, pieces that honor our femininity, relationships, challenges and humanity. We
believe our film will do the same and we hope to make those who came before us
proud. We would love for you to join us on this journey and help to bring our story to
life.
OUR TEAM
Imani Jones, Director
Imani has worked with the Nate Parker Foundation (NPF) on various projects since 2016.
Most recently she has been directing at her local theater company.
LeJoi Lane, Writer
Based in Atlanta, LeJoi has creatively directed projects in both film and design.
Quameiha Raymond-Ducheine, Lead Actress
A member of the 2016 class of the NPF summer film institute, Quameiha who is based
in Atlanta, largely focuses on theatre and has starred in several local theatre
productions.
Essence Ransome-Ambersley, Cinematographer
Essence is a Toronto-born Atlanta-based photographer who is known for producing
beautiful shots of full rich color on black skin.
Arielle Steele, Producer
Arielle was a member of the production team at the 2016 NPF summer film institute.
Currently based in Albany, NY, she has worked on short independent projects as a
producer, production assistant, and 1st assistant director.
