Hi everyone, my name is Beau and I am trans individual trying to access gender affirming care in CO. I am raising funds to help me afford top surgery. Unfortunately my health insurance isn’t going to cover the procedure and I will have to pay out of pocket. I am currently looking to get it done in Colorado but also looking possibly out of state where it could potentially be less expensive.

20k without insurance is the estimate I have been given by several surgeons in Colorado. That’s not including the time I will need to recover and miss work. I will be adjusting the donation amount based on where I ultimately end up getting it done.

I am feeling desperate to get this procedure done. Since I live with severe chronic pain I am unable to bind everyday. The dysphoria is slowly killing me and I have been binding despite how awful my body feels. This is not sustainable and I feel it is very important for me to get this procedure done so I can be free in my body.
