Donate to Rebuild Lives After Hurricane Helene

As many of you are aware by now, Hurricane Helene destroyed the beautiful city I now call home and many of the surrounding towns. I have not called this place home for very long, but since moving have felt so welcomed by the people I have met and content when I see the mountains in the distance. This makes it all the more heartbreaking to hear the stories of the people who have lost so much and seeing a once vibrant city be turned into a wasteland.

As Hurricane Helene came and went, she did not spare the office that myself and co-workers called home. Writing this is one of the first times I have really confronted the truth that the place where I first met so many wonderful co-workers and started a new phase of my life is gone.

The impermanence of it all is overwhelming but I ask, does what really matter ever leave you?

Life is the continuous cycle of growing, destruction, and rebuilding. Rather than this cycle being a metaphor, it is quite literal this time. Long preamble, but this is where I humbly ask for your donations.

Your donations will go towards this rebuild phase. Rebuilding an office that has been destroyed. Rebuilding hope in the individuals that I meet with on a weekly basis. Rebuilding that nagging voice inside that questions the rhetoric of our society being more disconnected than ever before.
