Hello, first, we would like to thank everyone who is taking the time to read this gofundme page for Dilma Dejesus Claudio.

A few weeks ago, I received a phone call from one of my closest and dearest friends to my heart. As usual, I pick up the phone with a Buenos Dias! Not expecting what I was going to hear next. I listened to a short pause then she explained that she was diagnosed with breast cancer. While she was crying, I was screaming internally. My heart dropped, my Dilma. The one who has been there through one of the most challenging decisions I’ve had to make in my life, and she did it without judgment.

I didn’t know what to say. I just kept thinking, how could this be happening to our friend. What do we need to do to help her get through this? How is she going to be able to handle this financially? How can we help reduce the stress while she heals? I wasn’t the only one thinking this way. I received a message from one of our friends with the idea of a gofundme.

Dilma is a single mother with a beautiful daughter Bella in middle school, a son in the military stationed in another country, and her eldest daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren who live in Puerto Rico.

She is a hard-working single mother who will do anything to ensure her youngest child has the best education, and she makes sure she is at every sports event to give her the support and motivation she needs.

The go-fund me is to help relieve some financial stress with bills and medications that may not be covered while she takes the time to heal after surgery. This will also help her youngest daughter stay active in sports to keep some normalcy in her life while her mother gets well. Dilma has the best support system. She has a group of dearest friends and family ready to help. With the money from the go fund, we want to ensure this will alleviate some financial burdens. We are asking you all from the bottom of our hearts for your help in this cause.
