Cancer Dad & Autistic Daughter
Donation protected
I have a dream to take my daughter to as many zoos as possible before I can no longer travel.
Hello. My name is Danny. My wife, Carrol, and I have a 17 year old daughter with Intellectual Disabilities and who is on the Autism Spectrum. In 2018 we were making preparations to set up a trust to insure our daughter is taken care of should anything happen to us. And then I was diagnosed with cancer. Yep, I have stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. I am a fighter, but with a 3% 5 year survival rate, every moment becomes precious. At 44 years old and having been athletic all of my life, this is quite a blow. We no longer have all the time in the world to make plans and memories. We are not asking for money for medical bills. We are not asking for money for living expenses. We will find a way to manage. I am asking for assistance in taking my daughter to as many zoos as we can manage before my disease progresses. She is a huge animal lover who has dreams of visiting all the Zoos in the United States, over 300 in the Continental U.S. alone! As well as major Zoos overseas such as the Australian Zoo. She also dreams of visiting elephant nursery sanctuaries in Africa. I want to know that some of these dreams will come true for her. I am hoping that those who have maybe a little money they would like to donate will help us to create what memories we can for her in the time left. If you can help at all, thank you. If you cannot but know someone who can, please pass this along. Again, thank you. To know more about Alexia, see her book on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1980628157
