Journey to recovery

Help Support Lili, Bella, Annabelle, Shawde, and Nakai after a devastating car accident.

Last Friday, my daughter Lili, my niece Bella, and their friends Annabelle, Shawde, and Nakai were involved in a serious car accident where they were t-boned by a large tow truck that left all five passengers injured.

Bella suffered a broken collarbone, femur, pelvis, and both arms. She underwent surgery on Saturday to repair her femur and pelvis and is scheduled for surgery on Monday to repair her collarbone and arms. Bella will need extensive physical therapy and will be out of work for at least three months.

Annabelle suffered a broken jaw and femur. She will also require extensive physical therapy and will be out of work for at least 6 weeks to 2 months.

Lili suffered a dislocated shoulder and elbow, along with numerous cuts and bruises. Her arm will remain in a sling for the next six weeks, preventing her from fully performing her job during this time.

Shawde suffered a cut to her chin, which required stitches, along with a concussion and several cuts and bruises. She should be able to return to work soon.

Nakai suffered soft tissue injuries to his knee and back and will likely be out of work while he heals.

The medical expenses for all five are expected to exceed the insurance coverage, and Bella and Annabelle have an especially long recovery ahead of them.
