Aloha my name is Alika Cui. I lived on Lahainaluna road and along with other families in the community I lost my family home. In the minutes that we had to spare, I grabbed a few small things and some clothing before grabbing our 2 family dogs and heading to the shelter. In the midst of panic, I left behind my late biological father's ashes in the house which was only a few minutes away from catching on fire before I realized and was too late for me to go back! I alongside my sister and 2 dogs drove through the fire and over wires and by a very slim coincidence ran into my mother who was also evacuating. Once all together we continued to drive through the fire to get to the civic center for shelter which we were evacuated from just a few hours later. We watched as the fire ripped through the town I called home since the age of 3 years old with no communication with family and my other sister who was on the other side. We spent the night running from the flames and evacuating out through the mostly 1 car road of Kahakuloa the next day and thankfully reunited with the rest of my family. 

I need help to restart my life from scratch as most if not all of those who were displaced by the fire. If you can donate anything even if it’s a dollar it would help in ways you cannot imagine!
