Hi everyone, I am fundraising to rent a room in NYC soon. I am now homeless and in need of immediate help to keep me from couch hopping all over NYC with my bags and/or not finding a solution financially. I have been doing auditions, applying for other jobs, and grinding every day to put myself out there. I am blessed to have been apart of many things but NY is very expensive. The bills that I do have take up the little money I make and where I work it’s not consistent enough for me to even take care of myself. -(Photos and video included for those that don’t know who I am and what I love to do)- I am a recent 2022 graduate from The Juilliard School for dance, I am a professional dancer, model, and actor. I am a teacher of a beautiful all black dance studio called Epic Dance in Queens, NY. Teaching beginners ballet and choreographing. I received a grant from Eryc Taylor Dance Company to choreograph my own new upcoming work. I work in catering as well but that’s not consistent in itself. I have been working nonstop to grow, keep a huge smile on my face, be present in every room I enter, and work with myself to make things better. I just haven’t found or dropped into what God really has planned for me in my career. I have been doing a lot and that is the way of the artist life. Struggling day by day to climb to the top but it keeps getting harder and harder everyday. I need a space where I can fully be by myself, take care of my business, mental, physical, and emotional health. To be able to choreograph, cook, clean, and most importantly lay my head to rest at night. I really need your help to propel me a little higher so that I can approach my dreams content and comfortably. Any and everything would help. Since I’ve graduated and tried to trust in other people has continued to bring me down. We live and we learn though. The courage that I have built and the sacrifices I have made that have forged my hand this year has me ready to be lifted back up and on my own because I am worth it. I want and see a place much better for myself. It’s only up from here and God only knows where I will be in a month. Maybe even faster than that but I’m praying that it all works out.
