We've all met someone that their personality just filled up the entire room and no one could say a single bad thing about. Well that is my brother in law Ryan Simon. Anyone that has met him knows how much life that man has and how much he just loves to laugh and joke with anyone and everyone. Those that are not aware Ryan had a stroke the morning of Friday April 2nd, 2021. Thankfully he was treated very quickly or we could be in a very different situation. Ryan was being treated at Kaweah Delta in Visalia, CA where they then transferred him to USC in LA where he is still being treated and monitored. Ryan's stroke was worse than the doctors and nurses first initially thought, he is on day 4 after his stroke and there is still swelling in the brain which can be common but unfortunately he cannot be released to go home until the swelling goes down. He is up and walking like normal which is great to see. He had the blood clot on the right side of his brain which has affected the left side of his body. His left arm is weak but is continuing to get stronger and he is struggling to see out of his peripheral vision in his left eye as well. My sister Erin Simon is currently there with him and thankfully she is allowed to be in the room with him. As we all know medical expenses are insanely expensive even with insurance. Erin is currently staying at a hotel in LA to make sure she can be there everyday with Ryan. Ryan is improving each day but still has a huge battle ahead of himself. We want to try and make his recovery and healing process as easy as possible and stress free so we are asking for any donations that you could possibly spare to at least ease some of the stress that medical bills and inability to work definitely bring.
