My name is Alexis Rekowski and I live in Hadly, Michigan. I'm opening this GoFundMe for one of my closest friends, Samantha Hemingway.

Sam was walking to work at the Hadley General Store on the morning of October 10th when she was struck by a vehicle that blew through the 4-way stop at the intersection of Pratt and Hadley roads.

It is an absolute miracle that Sam is alive! However, she sustained multiple injuries, including a fractured hip. This will require months of healing, plus physical therapy, and leave her unable to work.

My hope is through this fundraiser our community, family, and friends will rally around this young woman and ease the financial burden that comes with medical bills and prolonged medical care all while being out of work.
