Many of you know Joan Feller (Joan England) from racing at Hawkeye Downs, or from her love for teaching at Linn-Marr schools. It brings great pain to our family that on Friday, July 31st, 2015, while racing her Legends Car at Hawkeye Downs, Joan was in an accident that left her unresponsive at the scene. Joan's injuries were critical, and the doctors have informed us that due to the severity of her spinal injury, Joan will not recover. Joan had a love, and passion for racing, as many of her friends and racing family knew. She was so proud of her #12 car and was fulfilling a lifelong dream by racing at Hawkeye Downs.  Joan also had a love for music, and was a talented singer and pianist. But, while she loved racing and music, the only thing she loved more were her two children.  Joan would want to know that her children were not worried about funeral or memorial costs, and would also want to know they had money for education.We are setting up this GoFundMe to pay for funeral and burial expenses, as well as for expenses towards her youngest child's first year at the University of Iowa, which will be starting in a few weeks. 

We appreciate the prayers, love, and support from the entire community as we grieve and celebrate Joan's life. Thank you so much for your prayers and love.
