Veronica’s Battle With Cancer

Hello my name is Rochelle. I’m trying to help raise money for my good friend Veronica Benitez. I met Veronica through Fitness 19 in her Zumba class 2 years ago. She is such an amazing instructor and inspiring human being. No matter how exhausted she is, she still comes to class and gives the most energy out of everyone in class. If a family member or friend is in need, she is always the one to depend on for help. Whenever there is a fundraiser/event for the less fortunate, she is the one behind the scenes organizing everything and it doesn’t matter to her if she gets any credit for it.

About a year ago Veronica was diagnosed with kidney cancer. When she first had her biopsy/testing done she had to pay about $4000 in medical bills. She recently just found out the tumor has gotten bigger and spread to her other kidney. Now she is faced with the decision to undergo surgery which will take her out of work and recover for the next 3 months. Her husband Chris is going to take time off work as well to help her and the kids Bella(4) and Baby girl(12 months, who they are in the process of adopting). With this upcoming surgery they’re now anticipating paying more in medical bills and having financial hardships.

She specifically told us not to help her but as her close friend I feel it is time we come together and help her in her time of need.
