Andy needs surgery from coyote attack!

Our super sweet and smiley border collie Andy, needs orthopaedic surgery to fix a severed tendon. Andy came to us when he was 2 years old as a rescue. He is now 8 years old and has had his ups and downs but always manages to have this amazing smile which we can’t bear to lose! We live on a farm, and one morning Andy was trying to help his friend Yogi chase the coyotes off our property to protect our animals and unfortunately one of the coyotes turned on Andy knocking him down causing him to fall while running away and in turn caused this terrible injury. Luckily, Yogi was there to protect him, otherwise Andy may not have survived. If we don’t do the surgery, the only other option is to have his leg amputated or put Andy down, which are both not an option for us as he is such an important part of our family and loves to run and play and obviously makes us smile too! The cost of the surgery is $2600 and so far we have spent $1000 on his vet bills to get to this conclusion of him requiring surgery. We have had a lot of tragedy in the past few months and the thought of losing him is devastating to us. We are willing to sell our possessions to help pay for our sweet little Andy but that will take time that he doesn’t have to wait. Hopefully, with a little help, we can have his surgery completed ASAP so we can start his recovery process.
