Haying in the 30's and Cross Cancer
Donation protected
First I will say that I do not usually do this stuff. We were lucky in a way...the best of the worst case I guess. We were also lucky that the costs were not too much for us to handle although there has been a lot of travel costs and some overnight stays in Edmonton. So this gofundme page is for furture patients and not for us. To raise just a bit of money and pay it forward to those that have helped us out and to help those diagnosed in the furture.
The reason is simple enough. Back in October of 2015 our mom was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. It is a rare cancer that can bet put into remission with a stem cell transplant.
The plan is to raise at least $2000. If successful I will dye this wonderful beard pink! I will post that picture of me in a pink beard as my Facebook profile for one month and then shave it off...
To who will this money go? Haying in the 30's is local to the Lakeland but over the years they have helped over 3500 people with some of the costs incurred throughout the process of any cancer treatment. When you make a donation please comment 'Haying in the 30's' in you comment if you want a charitable donation receipt.
The second group is the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton. Super smart doctors and uber awesome nurses and staff has helped us understand what is happening along the way with mom's treatments and what we can expect over the coming months. Comment 'CCI' and if it possible I will try to get you a donation receipt from them.
Just a note. I made need extra information for the donation receipt. If you would like me to make these donation under mom's name just let us know in the comments and we will make all donation under her name. (This would be the easiest...)
Cheers and Thank You.
