On March 27th 2019 our family suffered a huge loss. My grandmother, Janet Murphy-Hebert and my uncle, Kyle Murphy were driving in the north end of New Bedford when they were struck by a vehicle. Janet was unresponsive when paramedics arrived on scene but unfortunately passed on her way to Rhode Island Hospital. We later found out that the vehicle that hit them was running from the police after trying to commit a robbery. Janet was a healthy, strong, brave and independent woman, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her life was stolen from her.
