Hi, I’m Captain the Otterhound puppy! I’m almost 8 months old now, I have been a very poorly boy and as some of you may know I haven’t been able to walk for over 4 months. The specialist has told my humans that part of my spinal cord has died and I may never walk again, but they are determined to prove him wrong. However it has cost almost £12K just to find out what was wrong with me and so much more than that for my ongoing rehabilitation. I am going to physiotherapy twice a week and I have started moving my legs so we are all very hopeful that I can do this. Apparently I’m very demanding but luckily for me my humans are extremely patient.....they love me more than anything and have never left my side since this awful thing happened to me.I now have a fantastic buggy so I can get out and socialise and very recently my humans have bought me a wheelchair so I can whiz around the garden and act like a doggy again. Very soon I need to revisit the specialist to have some further tests MRI/CT etc. and this will cost in the region of £5k.We are hoping to raise a bit of cash to help fund this and maybe some other equipment that may help me. I’m a very special little boy and there are not many of us Otterhounds left so please, if you can spare a pound or two, it would help enormously to try and get me better.Thank you xxx
