Becca's Bioness
Let me tell you about Becca. For the past 14 years, since I was 3, she has been caring for me and my three siblings as we walked through extremely difficult circumstances. She works as a pediatric psych nurse and is one of the strongest and most caring people I know. Becca was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) when she was just 26. Over the past 4 years, she has been in and out of the hospital. Often she spends more time in the hospital than out. One of the symptoms of the MS is extremely painful cramping in her leg. Even though she goes to PT, Becca can't walk without a crutch. Except when she's at PT. A new technology called the "Bioness" overrides the scrambled signals her brain is sending and allows her to walk normally. Unfortunately, she can only use it at PT since insurance (blech) won't cover the $5,000 cost. Becca isn't a fan of this post. She'd rather walk with a crutch than ask other for the help. But I'm asking for her. Please contribute a few dollars to give Becca a gift that is worthy of the exceptional person she is.
