Help us Honor our Father: Rogelio's Funeral Fund

We are heartbroken to share the news that our loving dad, Rogelio Martinez, passed away on June 16th, 2023, due to various complications from diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney disease, and COVID-19. He was a hardworking man who provided for our family and taught us the importance of strong moral values and a strong family bond. He was the most generous man I've known. He always looked out for others before himself and did everything he could to help those who needed support. Despite facing various health challenges, he never gave up and fought hard to stay alive for his family. Our dad was diagnosed with diabetes at a young age, but his health rapidly deteriorated after contracting COVID-19 in September 2020. It hit him like a freight train. He was hospitalized multiple times and lost the function of his kidneys. He also developed gangrene on his feet and hands, which resulted in the amputation of his feet. He underwent several surgeries, and his lungs weakened due to the disease. To the point that fluids filled his lungs since his kidneys could not remove toxins from his body. The fluids in his lungs made it very difficult for him to breathe well. He was in constant pain and suffocating but continued to fight anyway to ensure his family was doing ok until he passed away. We are raising money to cover the expenses for his funeral, including the church, flowers, gravesite, casket, and other miscellaneous expenses. Our goal is to raise $22,500. We appreciate any support you can provide during this difficult time. Our dad was a proud Marine who served in the Mexican Military and valued discipline, a strong work ethic, and perseverance. He also loved martial arts and trained in it during his time in the military. However, most people knew him as a hardworking landscaper who owned his business in America. He often told us stories of his past and the valuable lessons he learned from those experiences. He often shared a favorite quote with us: "Life is like a mirror; it reflects everything you do." Please help us honor our dad's memory and support our family during this challenging time. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
