6-Week IV Treatment for Benjamin's Recovery

My name is Ben. The end of June marked the beginning of my medical scare. I was trying to repair my car and a part i was replacing ended up falling on my eye. This lead to a chain reaction that almost took my life.

The doctors feel i was at the beginning of a sinus infection and didnt know it and when the part landed on my eye and smacked against my sinuses above it that pushed the infection through and it spread.

After a week in the Nuero Trauma unit abetween Legacy Emmanuel and the Nuero Trauma unit at OHSU were able to remove most of the infection through iv antibiotics, steroids, and sinus surgery. OHSU teams pulled out every superstar they had and im in recovery.

However because the infection was able to attach to the bone of my skull i went home with a PICC line for 24hr IV antibiotic administration.

I am now on a 6 week restriction, including not being able to go back to work, while the IV drugs continue to do their job on the remaining infection.

I will be getting a new MRI in a few weeks to make sure i dont have to go in for brain surgery to remove the infection from my skull. Thankfully for me I had friends and family that were able to make sure I got the medical care I needed in time and

so far I am on the road to recovery.

I'm asking for any help you can give in order to cover my living expenses for the, fingers crossed, 2 months I'll have been out of work.
