In July of 2017, Lucinda and Nicholas Tarr were officially wed.
Their sons, Hayden and Asher were involved in the beautiful pastoral ceremony and ensuing celebration.
That is not when they became a family.
Life is made of moments and the same is true for the formation of family.
There is the moment when a man and a woman look at each other and simply know.
There is the moment when that same man looks into four bright young eyes for the first time, eyes asking impossibly big questions.
There is the moment when laughter trickles like windchimes from one boy to the other and on to the woman and finally the man and they all simply know.
That is when the Tarrs became a family.
The Tarrs are smiles, they are laughter, they are muddy dirt bikes, and sunny days on the slopes.
They are love and loyalty, strength, and compassion.
On May 25, 2021 one moment stole that laughter and now tests that strength…
Nicholas was involved in a horrific vehicle accident. He, like his wife, like their boys, is strong, he’s a fighter. His injuries are many and severe and the road back to the life this family has built together is long…
And like all journeys, along all roads, it begins with a single step…and then another…and another…
