Help My Son, Herman Hannon Jr., Fight Tongue Cancer
I’m reaching out to share some heartbreaking news about my son, Herman Hannon Jr. Just yesterday, after returning from my nephew’s funeral in North Carolina, I received the devastating news that Herman has been diagnosed with tongue cancer. This comes after a difficult journey for our family, as we’ve faced multiple cancer battles together—after losing a husband, a son, and seeing my daughter survive her own fight.
Now, with Herman facing his own battle, I’m struggling to process it. However, the costs associated with his treatment will be significant. Over the next several months, he will undergo a complex regimen of radiation therapy and chemotherapy, including surgery next week to place a port, along with numerous scans and lab tests. Despite these challenges, Herman is surrounded by a great medical team at Massey Cancer Center, and we are confident in their care.
How You Can Help
We are reaching out to ask for your support in any way you can offer. Donations will help cover transportation, meals, bills, and general expenses—and ensure Herman can focus on healing without the burden of financial stress.
Any amount, no matter how small, makes a difference. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing Herman’s story with others or keeping him in your thoughts and prayers.
Together, we can help Herman fight this battle with the strength and hope he needs. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this challenging time.
