Support for Charlene

Our dear friend and family member, Charlene Churchill, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this October and was hospitalized at the MD Anderson Cancer Center In Houston, TX when she traveled there in early November to seek a second opinion on treatment. She will undergo surgery on Thursday, November 21 to bypass a narrowing that doesn’t allow her to eat and will be needing additional treatment for the cancer, most likely chemotherapy and perhaps radiation to shrink the tumor and then a surgery to remove what is left. This plan is always subject to change.
All of this comes as a tremendous financial burden, of course. Since she is completely debilitated and unable to work, she needs help to pay for her mounting medical expenses and her regular bills. We are asking for donations to help her as she faces this battle and your prayers and positive energy that she can be brought to her full health again.
About Charlene:
Charlene has been a long time Maine resident and is an active member of the Rotary Club of Ellsworth. She is the former director of the Ellsworth Public Library and a beloved member of the Ellsworth community Charlene grew up in Heath, Massachusetts where her sister, Hilma Sumner, is a current resident. She is well loved by many family members and friends.
