Hi everyone, my name is Amber. I’m a writer and multidisciplinary artist, a community event organizer, and performer. I’m super passionate about bringing queer and trans folks together and uplifting those around me.

I was recently laid off without warning from my only source of stable income. I lost my health, eye, and dental insurance. I was forced to take on a new, incredibly expensive insurance plan to ensure that I continue to work with my current care team and have access to my various life- saving medications.

During this time, I also received news that I owe a little over $6k in overdue taxes. My mom, who I was caregiving, recently passed away and that has left me with several financial burdens.

I have been tirelessly looking for work, however I am incredibly limited due to my disability from a horrible car accident I suffered in January of 2025. My disability doesn’t allow me to stand for more than 15 minutes or walk for more than .5 miles (usually just a small block). I am working with my care team to hopefully heal enough to return to my normal quality of life, but it is slow-going.

I just need help to stay afloat. I’m at a loss of what to do if I can’t find a job soon. If you cannot donate, please share or send over any job leads you may have. Even just a few bucks helps a lot.
