As many of you may know, the last few months have been an extremely difficult time for the beautiful Wagner Family. Melodie, Abel, Moriah, Mahlia and Mikaela are 5 of the most beautiful young adults you are likely to ever meet and it is a testament to their incredible and selfless mother Denise who has dedicated her life to and sacrificed so much in her efforts to support and raise her children to reach for the stars whilst remaining humble and grateful for all of their blessings.
A couple of months ago, Denise was diagnosed with stage IV bowel cancer, having spread to her liver and pancreas. After emergency surgery to remove part of her bowel, Denise has now begun the excruciating but very necessary journey down the chemotherapy path. A journey which has not been easy with a long road ahead.
Over the last few months there have been countless setbacks for Denise and her family but there have also been rays of sunshine along the way. Throughout it all Denise and the kids have never lost their unwavering faith, hope, sense of humour and their awe-inspiring family bond that truly makes those of us around them believe that at the end of the day love and faith will find a way to overcome even the greatest challenges life throws our way.
It is no surprise that this kind of battle comes at not only an overwhelming emotional cost but also a heavy financial burden. Whilst Denise needs to focus solely on her health at this time and getting better, she has continued to work in order to make ends meet - thankfully Denise's work has been incredibly supportive and understanding throughout the process and has been extremely flexible by giving her the option to work only when she is well enough to. But now on top of the daily cost of living and supporting her family, Denise and the kids now have to account for the ongoing treatment costs together with the added expenses of making sure she is nurturing her body with a completely organic and alkaline diet to give herself the very best chance of beating this toxic and undiscriminating disease.
It’s for this reason we are reaching out to ask those of you who are lucky enough to have been touched by Denise and her family for your support in contributing whatever you can and to spread the word as far and wide as possible throughout your networks so that we as a community can lift this wonderful family up and ease some of the strain that they are experiencing right now so that Denise can focus all of her energy on her health and well-being.
