Rally for Randy's Recovery Journey
Donation protected
Our brother, Randy Thomas, was diagnosed with Stage 4 gall bladder cancer in July
2024. After undergoing chemo through December, he underwent extensive surgery at
Abbott Hospital to remove the remaining cancer, which impacted multiple organs.
Despite this lengthy, difficult procedure, Randy seemed to come through the surgery
with what were anticipated recovery goals at home with a reasonable timeframe to
return to work. However, due to some life-threatening complications and setbacks,
Randy has been in and out of the hospital more than he’s been at home.
Throughout this journey, Randy’s wife, Shari, has continued to try to work as much as
possible as she is independently employed with no paid time off benefits, Randy is
receiving a small disability payment which covers his health insurance premium for
coverage continuation through COBRA, but , he has nothing left to contribute to
household expenses. While Randy anticipates and looks forward to working again, we
know his health complications have pushed that back much farther than planned.
Any contributions are appreciated as Randy works on recovering and getting back to
work. Thank you!
