Our daughter Alyssa was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in April of 2021 and fought the hard battle through July of 2023 and was in remission. She graduated from UTEP’s nursing program in December 2023 and had goals of beginning her nursing career all to find out that the leukemia has relapsed. update- Alyssa has begun treatment at the UNM Cancer Center and is stable. This is a very aggressive treatment and she is in a lot of pain. She needs a bone marrow transplant soon.
