My sister, Sarah Greenwood, was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer last month. While this news has been devastating for our family we know that she can beat this, many women have. Because of her misdiagnosis while living in Vietnam her cancer grew to Stage 4.
Her plan was to be treated in Vietnam, but very quickly realized that without the support of her family advocating for her, and the language barrier, it would be an uphill battle. She is now home, and seeking treatment in San Diego at MD Anderson. Her cancer is very aggressive and the doctors have recommended that we throw everything we can at it. She is hoping to be accepted at a treatment facility that costs $5,000 per week. While insurance covers basic costs, this particular treatment facility is not covered.
Sarah received her masters degree this year, got married, and survived Covid in Vietnam. She would love an opportunity to use her degree, spend time with her husband, and her family, and return to Vietnam one day.
Any amount would be much appreciated ❤️Thank you.
