Hey guys! My name is Alisha!
First off, I would like to thank everyone for their continued outpouring of love and support through one of the toughest times of this families lives!
Let me give everyone just a little background!
Randall Works had a massive stroke on July 23rd, stemming from a large blood clot on the left side of his brain, he was rushed to United Regional from Grandfield, Ok. He did not make it there in time for the URHCS Emergency room team to administer the clot dissolving meds he needed, so they made a decision to care flight Randall to Medical City Hospital in Plano, Tx. The Neurologist assessed Randall once he was admitted to a room, the prognosis at first was not promising! We were told there was a good chance he would not walk or talk again, as the clot/stroke was effecting the whole right side of his body and his speech. Needless to say, Randall was not taking that as an answer! He was walking, without a walker, shortly after being admitted, he was getting out small sentences and his speech has only progressed since! He is home now, showering on his own, getting around better than anyone ever expected!!
But, Randall is the primary source of support for he and his wife. Randall and his son Eric opened an Automotive and Tire Repair shop, in April of 2021. Randall also ran the shop during the day and has made quite the name for himself around Tillman and the surrounding counties they serve!! Everyone loves him. They enjoy his knowledge, they trust him with their vehicles, and they kept him so so busy!
Randall was in the hospital in Plano for 3 weeks. In those 3 weeks, the bills did not stop coming but unfortunately, the work did. Eric has a full time day job that provides his family with a stable home, a guaranteed income, and so much more that he cannot leave to open the shop back up during the week. I’ve been watching Eric kill himself, trying to work at the farm during the day then come home at night and take in jobs at the shop. He’s opening the doors from 5:30 to 7:30 but he never closes them at 7:30. The jobs are pouring in, Praise the Lord, but the doors may not close at the shop til after midnight every night or later. He’s trying so hard to keep automotive shop up and running, he knows his dad is worried about failing and Eric believes his dad didn’t almost die running that shop for it just waste away with the doors closed! Eric is trying his best to take in all the jobs he can, he won’t turn anyone down and I’m afraid it’s going to take a toll on his health, mentally and physically!
The medical costs for the helicopter, both emergency room visits, the hospital stays, the radiology services, the rehab, the equipment needed at home, the medications, the automotive shop bills, are piling in. We are doing our best to stay a float! I’m making this GoFundMe because Eric refuses to ask anyone for help. That’s just him, he’s hard headed! But, I can’t sit back and watch him work himself to death either without trying in some kind of way to help! He’s working himself in the ground. So I’m asking on their behalf, if there’s anything at all anyone can spare to help this family and business, it would be MORE than appreciated and we will be forever grateful!
Again, keep the prayers coming!! As Randall still has a long road ahead of him!
